FASHION meets Yoshiko Creation Paris

I promised you not so long ago we will be meeting Yoshiko Creation Paris here on FASHION again.

Words can’t describe how happy I am for being able to keep my promise and very gratefull it’s precisely FASHION who brings you all the exclusive photos and pieces of information.

We talked about the black Umbrella Hat you adored. And about another creation of hers Gagita wore. She played the “First 3 Words” game with me. And even helped me to ID the black velvet dress our girl has chosen for her memorable “Imagine” performance during the Human Rights Campaign’s 13th Annual National Dinner.

This is one of my favourite headpieces Gaga has ever worn and your love lines you dropped me only confirm a lot of you feel the same way (big thanks to Leon B. a.k.a Gagamonster for this picture he sent me some time ago and I kept like a treasure until today).

We’ve been calling it Umbrella Hat since the very first moment we saw it but the actual name of the piece is “B-612″ – inspired by “The Little Prince” house-sized planet/asteroid he came from (I don’t like the book. I adore it. And have it in 5 different languages so the moment I was told the name, I fell in love with the piece even deeper).

The hat was made as a part of Yoshiko Creation Paris Fall 2005 collection. But has never made its way to the catalogue. So it actually was a world premiere when our girl donned it in the Music Japan TV program!

And before you ask me where you can get it, the headpiece is one of a kind creation made from an antique umbrella. But who knows, maybe Yoshiko auctions it one day. And if so, I’ll let you know.

When I asked Yoshiko about what 3 words come instantly to her mind when I say “Lady Gaga style”, she said: “Artisanal, Avantgarde, Exciting!”.

Her favourite Gaga look is the MMVA performance outfit with the Haus of Gaga fireworks bra, the “Paparazzi” Thierry Mugler robot outfit and also all the garments Lady Gaga designed herself.

To my last question about what she’d chose for our girl to wear for the next performance, TV appearance or red carpet, she told me she loves the fact Gaga doesn’t have a conventional idea of fashion and is expressing herself through clothing, accessories and things she wears and uses.

I also asked Yoshiko about this smoking hot pipe bra some of you wanted to know more about.

She was inspired by Man Ray‘s work and this fully functional “pipe” is from the Fall 2007 collection.

And when I got the photos from the catalogue and behind the scenes…

… and saw the black velvet dress I was not able to ID until then, I just had to go on and pop the question.

The FASHION standing ovations and my trademark crunchy hug today fly to Yoshiko! And also to Nicola Formichetti for introducing us new and unbelievably talented designers all the time.

And for those who loved “The Little Prince” as much as I did, please let’s never ever forget the very simple secret: “It’s only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye”.
