When I saw this picture for the first time, I’ve instantly fallen in love with the headdress. I love it so much I even make it my Twitter icon.
After hours and hours of research I finally, happy me, found out the Mr. Magic Hands behind this awe is Tilmann Grawe.
And I had a chance to meet him. He patiently answered all my questions. Huge pity I only could meet him virtually. But really happy and greatful I actually could.
I was blown away. Felt like I suddenly landed on a different planet.
Warning: What follows below is a huge dose of a highly addictive beauty!!!
The first creation our girl wore is called “Aelita – Queen of Mars” inspired by one of the first science fiction Russian movies directed in 1924 by Yakov Protazanov, a film made even 4 years before the famous Metropolis. Originally created for Tilmann’s “For Earthly and other Worldly Women” exposition in Paris last year.
Tilmann explained me that Mars represents the capitailsm and Aelita is an outstanding beauty with an extra power, “… pure coincidence that it fits so perfectly with Lady Gaga… or is it destiny??? Aelita is dressed in Cubism volumes style… Google it… you will be surprised … you will be amazed… Isn’t she the Queen of Mars ???”
This awesome piece took about one week to finish and is made from aluminium, plexiglass and crystal beads (those of you who are aware of Tilmann Grawe‘s work know how much he loves transparencies and mixtures with metal).
The second piece Gagita wore was “Grace“, dedicated to two opposite personalities Tilmann loves. “Grace of Monaco with her very classical beauty and elegance and Grace Jones I love for her modernity, inconventional way of art and lifestyle. I just simply love both of them. And Lady Gaga is so multifacetic that it once again is just a perfect fit…”.
This fabulous headdress, I wouldn’t mind at all wearing on my wedding day, was made from mirrored plexiglass, grey and opal coloured crystal beads.
Oh my…
The last one is called “La Naîade“, after a Greek Nymph of springs and fountains, a water beauty – partly human, partly fantasy.
Made from Bohemian Glass, green and dark blue Austrian Crystal.
Gaga wore this one with one of Tilmann Grawe bustiers. The white marvel is made from plastic, Italian silk and crystal rivets.

wooow!! por esas razones es porque Lady Gaga me encanta.. muchas veces he oido críticas negativas acerca de su vestimenta, pero.. desde que la ví aún sin saber nada de los diseñadores (claro gracias a tu página me doy cuenta de que mi intuición no me engaño) ella me recordaba bastante a muchas formas de arte… y no de cualquier tipo, cada diseñador que ella escoje es porque tiene un trasfondo y es lo que muchos “Artistas” hoy en día han olvidado..que el arte se creo por la necesidad de expresión y lamentablemenbte muchos ya ni saben lo que quieren expresar….
