This one is for those of you who asked me to write about Lady Gaga’s grey dress she wore while shopping in London. I got quite a bunch of e-mails about this dress, other outfits, sunglasses… Thanks a lot!!! I will try to answer all of them directly or here in FASHION. Bit by bit. I’m just a working woman

I was reading all your comments and e-mails and have to say Lady Gaga is one happy lady for having such a great family of fans I’m virtually meeting here on GagaDaily.com!

The grey dress with over-sized shoulders…

… is from French trainded couturier Bernard Chandran. Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. Picked by the Malaysian Edition of The Tatler Magazine as one of Asia’s 100 most recognizable names. Conferred the ‘Dato’-ship (equivalent to a ‘knighthood’ in the UK where the receiver carries the title ‘Sir’), an honorary title bestowed  by the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia for his outstanding contributions to the fashion industry.

The grey stunner is from his Fall 2009 collection. She finished the look with Christian Louboutin Lola pumps.

If you didn’t go through Bernard Chandran’s Fall 2009 collection yet, don’t hesitate, grab a coffee or mate and visit Vogue. Take your time, start the slideshow and don’t forget to use the magnifying glass you find there to see all the details. The fabrics. The shapes. It’s oh so worth it!

Where is the Genie with his “your wish is my command”? I would ask him for these dresses…

I heard you saying this was not Gaga’s first dress by Bernard Chandran. If I remember well, we saw her in another dress. From the Spring 2009 collection. In two different colours.

OMG! That Grey dress with the oversized shoulders is so amazing. That’s probably my favorite look of GaGa’s.

@Andrew – so far is a looot of research, combined with a bit more of research and a bit more… style, vogue, designer official sites, blogs, forumst… when I get obsessed with something I just can’t get it out of my head… and when I have a minute I just google words I like… also Murphy’s law… – looking for one thing you suddenly find the one you gave-up at already because you thought you will never ever find out
@Trixie – really glad you loved it. I find it fantastic that they allow us to “touch” the garments we were not able to see personally on the runway.

This is a conservative look for her (conservative? can you imagine such a look being conservative in itself? only Gaga!). This dress is brilliant – from the structure to the metallic hue. It’s avant-garde and yet wearable.

Gaga looks better in the blue Chandran than the model! Love it.
