The rumors are true: Overlook Press is publishing the first biography of the world’s favorite pop star. The press release says:

YAY!! A good, well-researched bio on Gaga! I’m just glad its not some raggedy, thrown together bio. They do that a lot to cash oin on pop stars’ popularuty. This doesn’t appear to be that way.

Not to throw cold water on this, but the biography is UNAUTHORIZED. That means the info is second hand, and potentially wrong. The last thing we need is more celebrity-type rumors by people trying to cash in on her fame. This website should not be promoting the book until Lady Gaga approves it!

mmm yeah this is clearly just one of those attempts to quickly cash in on celebrities that are “in” at the moment. Usually the book is put together in few months, so that it can reach the markets while there is still interest. I wouldn´t waste my money on trash like that.
C´mon, she´s in her early twenties. Her career is just starting. There is no need for a biography yet.

I’ll wait until Gaga herself mentions this book/reads it to be quite honest. I’d rather read an autobiography or something written by her too but she’s so busy and I feel like she’s too humble to write an autobiography so soon or at all.
I think a fashion book would be sick. Just pictures compiled and maybe something written by her about her thoughts on fashion and how it relates to music and art. :)
Or a book on like how she has changed media/pop culture, less of a bio of how she grew up, more of how she’s changed music.
I think that would be interesting.
